// Evaluating the 2011 "Arab Spring" //
_"Facebook Revolution"? "Twitter Revolution"? "Wiki Revolution"? ...Or something more/less? Small groups of students produced multimedia websites that
evaluate the role of social media during the 2011 "Arab
Spring." These web projects should present relevant background information on the assigned countries, including details on the political landscapes preceding the
uprisings and the agents involved. Projects should identify key social media players
who had (or have) a hand in organizing the protests. The projects should also include time lines that track the actions of the media players and the government reactions
that followed, and vice versa. Finally, based on all of this research, the projects should present some conclusions regarding the role social media may
have played in the success, failure or undetermined outcome of the uprisings in Egypt, Syria, Tunisia and Bahrain.
